The Security Officer will maintain peace and order in and about the Hospital grounds and facilities.
Assist patients, visitors, and employees.
The officer maintains a liaison with Law Enforcement agencies to create their willing support and sensitivity to our Hospital needs and security.
Officers check adherence to all traffic regulations stated in the Hospital traffic and parking regulations.
The officer keeps the morgue control, checks temperature, handles overcrowding, destruction orders, etc.
Patrols Hospital campus.
The officer is responsible for property control and records valuables in and out of the Hospital care.
Write daily reports regarding the activities and any disturbances occurring during his/her serving period. Activities may consist of fire, theft and injuries.
Monitors surveillance cameras to ensure a safe environment internally and externally.
Maintains the front desk and insures an orderly flow of visitors and guests throughout the premises by issuing passes.
Reports safety hazards
Security officer must deal with potential physical confrontations with patients, visitors, and staff.
Security officer must handle deceased patients.
Security officer must deal with inclement weather conditions.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.

|Education:||High School Diploma/GED required. Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred.|
|Experience:||A minimum of two years of prior security experience preferably at an acute care hospital facility or related security experience at a police department or other professional security, protective, military, or directly related experience.|
