Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

The Medical Surgical Department Registered Nurse is responsible for the total nursing care of assigned patients. He or she utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement age appropriate interventions to adult, and geriatric patients.



Status: Full Time
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing, or BSN preferred.
Experience: Current State of MD RN license 1-2 years recent acute care experience; monitor experience preferred. 
Licenseure: • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or currently enrolled in Bachelors of Nursing program • Active Maryland RN license requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Skills: Must be knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Where appropriate, must be able to assess treatment and care for specific patient populations (i.e., pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics). Should possess the ability to understand and react effectively to their unique need
