The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for the total nursing care of assigned patients. He or she utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement age appropriate interventions to adult, and geriatric patients.
- NOTE: For all Nursing Opportunities: Qualified candidate must be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current State of MD RN license or eligible. 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Monitor experience preferred. CPR required.
- For ED Positions: ACLS PALS & BLS certifications required.
- For CCU and PACU Positions: ACLS & BLS certifications required.
|Education:||Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.|
|Licenseure:||Must possess a current license as a registered nurse from the State of Maryland. Must be currently certified in CPR (and recertified annually) and ACLS & PALS|
|Skills:||Must be knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Where appropriate, must be able to assess treatment and care for specific patient populations (i.e., pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics). Should possess the ability to understand and react effectively to their unique needs.|
