The Patient Financial Counselor is responsible for ownership of patient’s financial obligations for medical services provided. The Patient Financial Counselor is responsible for ensuring all payments are received for services provided, work directly with State Medicaid to assist with documentation required to obtain eligibility, and follow-up on all application status accounts in progress with CPSI.

|Experience:||At least 5 years of experience as a financial counselor in a hospital, public health, or healthcare environment; Must have previous experience or be currently working with the State Medicaid application process, undocumented immigrants, and Medicaid applicants. Must have knowledge of the Maryland Affordable Care Act. Must have strong knowledge/training in government payer rules and regulations.|
