Nexus Health Names New Chief Operating Officer

OXON HILL, Md. – June 23, 2014 – Barrett Schofield has joined Nexus Health Inc., parent company to Fort Washington Medical Center and Carolyn Boone Health Care Center, as the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

Schofield, who will be responsible for the daily operations across the organization, joins Nexus Health having previously served as an associate administrator at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Ariz. He also served as assistant administrator at Richmond Veterans Administration Medical Center in Richmond, Va.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., with a Master of Health Administration degree, Mr. Schofield also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in integrated science and technology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.

Schofield will report directly to Verna S. Meacham, President and CEO of Nexus Health.
